Been working crazy hard during this steamy summer in Beijing on two different music projects, one in Chinese, the other English.

The Chinese CD Hidden Rhythms will be almost entirely composed of quotes from Baha'u'llah's Hidden Words. Yup, going to be singing all of the quotes in Chinese! It turns out its actually a lot easier to sing in a foreign language than speak it, simply because one doesn't have to be strict with the four tones. But in another sense its more difficult because finding the emotion in the unfamiliar words is hard.

The English CD is another concept album on everyone's favorite topic, the end of the world. (Well, okay, MY favorite topic anyway.) Not to fear... all is not as it seems. Not going to say much more about it just now as it will all make more sense when presented in its entirety.

Gotta split... a musician is coming over soon to record some parts on the guzheng, one of the world's most beautiful instruments. Hope to have tracks up for you soon!
