Long before the war started, when I was marching on the streets of LA, I kept circling back to one thought... It was obvious at that point that it wasn't about WMD, because the chief weapons inspector Scott Ritter had laid out the reasons in books, essays and interviews so clearly in the months leading up to the war.

I kept thinking, if WMD is a ruse, what's the real reason? Oil seemed too obvious and not a solid enough explanation, because we weren't really consuming that much Iraqi oil. Then I heard the theory that it was all about the dollar.
